Cardinal Health Uni-Patch™ Elastic Compression Wrap with Velcro™ Closure

The Cardinal Health Uni-Patch™ Elastic Compression Wrap is a reusable therapy wrap with a sewn-in hook-and-loop closure for quick application, repositioning, and removal. Its stretchable construction helps hold a reusable hot or cold pack in position while allowing the amount of overlap and tension to be adjusted for the treatment area.

Available in three configurations, the Uni-Patch wrap can be selected for compact applications, longer wrapping patterns, or broader coverage. These wraps are not made with natural-rubber latex and are supplied without a hot or cold pack.

Pair the wrap with our Uni-Patch reusable hot and cold gel packs when a separate reusable thermal pack is needed.

6" × 48"1 wrap/pkgMV75110Broader coverage for larger thermal packs or larger treatment areas

The dimensions refer to the elastic wrap itself. Hot/cold packs are sold separately.

Why Use a Therapy Wrap Instead of Simply Holding the Pack?

A reusable thermal pack works best when it can remain positioned over the intended treatment area without requiring the user to continually hold it by hand.

The Uni-Patch design combines an elastic wrap with an integrated hook-and-loop closure, eliminating loose metal clips or a separate fastener. The wrap can be opened, repositioned, and resecured as needed.

Its principal advantages are

  • reusable elastic construction;
  • sewn-in hook-and-loop closure;
  • adjustable overlap and tension;
  • multiple widths and lengths;
  • no separate clips required;
  • compatible with appropriately sized reusable hot and cold packs;
  • not made with natural-rubber latex.

3" × 24" vs. 3" × 48" vs. 6" × 48"

The best size depends less on a named body part than on how much width and wrapping length the setup requires.

Choose the 3" × 24" two-pack when two shorter wraps are more useful than one long wrap. Select the 3" × 48" when you want the same narrow width with twice the nominal length. Choose the 6" × 48" when broader coverage is the priority.

Made for Reusable Hot and Cold Pack Setups

These Uni-Patch wraps can be paired with a separate reusable therapy pack rather than requiring the pack and retaining wrap to be replaced together.

We carry reusable Uni-Patch hot and cold gel packs in multiple sizes. Select the pack first, then choose a wrap that provides appropriate width, length, and overlap for the treatment location.

For guidance on choosing between different types of reusable hot and cold products, see our Hot and Cold Therapy Product Guide. That guide covers therapy-product selection in more detail without duplicating those instructions here.

How to Use the Uni-Patch Elastic Wrap

Position the appropriately prepared hot or cold pack according to its instructions, then place the Uni-Patch wrap over or around the setup with comfortable, even tension. Secure the sewn-in hook-and-loop closure so the pack remains positioned without excessive compression.

Do not overtighten the wrap. Loosen or remove it if it causes numbness, tingling, unusual skin color, increasing discomfort, or impaired circulation.

When using heat or cold, follow the instructions supplied with the thermal pack, including any recommended skin barrier and treatment duration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Uni-Patch Elastic Wrap include a hot or cold pack?

No. This listing is for the reusable elastic wrap only. A compatible hot/cold pack is sold separately.

Which Uni-Patch wrap is the widest?

MV75110 is the widest option at 6 inches. It is also 48 inches long.

What is the difference between MV75100 and MV75150?

MV75100 is one 3" × 48" wrap. MV75150 contains two 3" × 24" wraps. The total nominal length of material is similar, but the configuration is different: one long wrap versus two shorter wraps.

Are these wraps latex-free?

Current Cardinal Health FDA device records state that the products are not made with natural-rubber latex.

Can the closure be repositioned?

Yes. The sewn-in hook-and-loop closure allows the wrap to be opened and repositioned rather than requiring disposable tape or separate metal clips.

Is this the same product sometimes called Versa-Lastic?

Yes. Older Covidien and distributor literature frequently uses Versa-Lastic for this Uni-Patch elastic-wrap family. The current Cardinal Health manufacturer numbers are MV75100, MV75110, and MV75150.

Can I use the wrap as a wound dressing?

It should not be treated as a primary wound-contact dressing. Its role is elastic compression/support and retention of compatible therapy products. Follow appropriate wound-care instructions when an open wound is present.

How do I choose between the three sizes?

Use 3" × 24" when you want two compact wraps, 3" × 48" when you need a long narrow wrap, and 6" × 48" when broader coverage is required.

FAQs

What is the Uni-Patch™ Elastic Wrap with Velcro™ Closure used for?

It is used to help secure hot packs, cold packs, gel packs, electrodes, or compatible therapy supplies against the body during treatment. It is commonly used in physical therapy, chiropractic, sports medicine, athletic training, rehab clinics, and home care.

Does this wrap include a hot or cold pack?

No. This listing is for the elastic wrap with Velcro™ closure. Hot/cold packs are sold separately. To build a complete setup, compare our hot and cold therapies.

Which size should I choose?

Choose 3" x 24" for smaller areas like the wrist, ankle, elbow, or forearm. Choose 3" x 48" for medium areas such as the knee, shoulder, or calf. Choose 6" x 48" for larger regions like the low back, hip, thigh, or abdomen.

Can this be used for ice packs?

Yes. The wrap can help hold a cold pack or gel pack in place. Always use a skin barrier when appropriate and avoid wrapping so tightly that circulation is affected.

Can this be used with heat packs?

Yes. It can help secure a compatible heat pack, but do not overheat the pack, do not wrap too tightly, and do not sleep with heat therapy in place.

Is this the same as a compression bandage?

It can provide light, adjustable wrapping to help hold a therapy pack in place, but it should not be used as a medical compression garment unless directed by a healthcare professional. The goal is secure positioning, not excessive compression.

Can I use this wrap over electrodes?

It may be used to help secure compatible electrodes or therapy supplies when appropriate. Do not wrap tightly over electrodes, do not create pressure points, and always follow the device and electrode instructions.

Is it reusable?

Yes. Uni-Patch™ elastic wraps are designed for repeated use and shape retention.

How tight should the wrap be?

It should be snug enough to hold the pack or therapy supply in place but never tight enough to cause numbness, tingling, throbbing, skin color change, increased pain, or restricted circulation.

Who should use caution?

People with reduced sensation, diabetes-related neuropathy, poor circulation, fragile skin, open wounds, vascular conditions, or difficulty sensing heat/cold should use hot/cold therapy only with clinician guidance.
