Ten20 Paste for Neurofeedback: What to Check Before Reordering

by Service, Training and Support·October 1, 2026

Reorder Ten20 by matching the product on your existing label, not simply by searching for “neurofeedback gel.” Confirm the manufacturer, item reference, container size, and number of containers in the pack. Then check that your current sensor and recording-system instructions still call for that paste.

We supply Weaver Ten20 Conductive Paste in 4 oz and 8 oz jar three-packs. This guide helps you identify the right repeat order and avoid substituting a different consumable by mistake.

This is a replenishment guide for an established EEG-based neurofeedback setup, not a sensor-placement protocol, system-compatibility certification, or claim about neurofeedback outcomes.

Check your system.

Match the label.

Compare jar options.

Plan the reorder.

Send an order inquiry.

Is Ten20 the paste used with your neurofeedback system?

Ten20 is a conductive adhesive paste, not a neurofeedback device. Weaver's instructions identify its use with non-gelled neurodiagnostic electrodes. That makes the electrode and recording-system requirements the starting point for a replacement purchase.

When your supplied container is labeled Weaver Ten20, compare a replacement against that identity. When the label is missing or the system has changed, ask the system provider which medium is specified before ordering. A familiar jar shape, a photograph, or the word “conductive” is not enough to identify an equivalent.

Recording is not electrical stimulation.

Do not use Ten20 with current-inducing electrodes. That restriction appears in the Ten20 instructions for jars and tubes. Do not choose it as a TENS, NMES, or brain-stimulation contact medium because a product is described as “neuro” equipment.

Match the old label before changing suppliers.

Keep a photograph of the original container and a copy of the order confirmation. A seller's stock code may differ from the manufacturer's reference. Record both when available, but use the manufacturer's identity and the actual pack contents to check the replacement.

The manufacturer's Ten20 instruction library distinguishes jar, tube, and single-use-cup references. For example, 10-20-4 identifies a 4 oz jar format, while 10-20-4T identifies a tube. Do not drop the final letter when copying an old reference into a new order.

Our Ten20 jar options: identify the repeat purchase.

Our Ten20 product listing offers the following jar packs. Select the intended size before checking the price or adding it to the cart.

OptionWeaver referenceOne package contains
4 oz / 114 g jar10-20-4Three 4 oz jars
8 oz / 228 g jar10-20-8Three 8 oz jars

Write an order as “two packages of three jars” when you need six jars. A request for “two Ten20” leaves the seller guessing whether you mean containers or packages.

Changing from the smaller jar to the larger jar changes your purchasing and handling plan; it does not create a neurofeedback-specific formulation. For quantity and unit-cost calculations, use our Ten20 package-size and cost comparison. Current prices and purchase options remain on the product page.

Do you need more paste or a different supply?

NuPrep Skin Prep Gel belongs to the preparation step when your instructions require it. Ten20 supplies conductive contact and electrode hold. Ordering NuPrep does not replenish a missing jar of Ten20, and having Ten20 does not establish that every system requires NuPrep. Our Ten20 versus NuPrep guide explains their separate roles.

Replacing paste is also different from replacing a sensor. A new jar does not identify or repair an equipment fault. When a recording problem is the reason for the purchase, follow the system provider's contact and connection checks before assuming that another paste will fix it.

Buying a consumable also does not purchase a software license, session credit, or device-support entitlement. Keep those orders separate from a physical paste reorder.

Plan the next order before the working jar runs out.

Keep a simple record for the exact jar size you use: the container in service, the unopened usable reserve, and any confirmed incoming order. Note when a new jar starts and when it is finished or discarded. That gives you a local replenishment history without assuming a fixed number of sessions per jar.

Set a stock-check reminder early enough to allow for placing the order, supplier processing, transit, and receipt. An order confirmation is not the same as an available paste. Check whether the expected delivery precedes the sessions that need it, especially around travel, closures, or a heavier schedule.

Do not count an expired, damaged, or questionable container as your backup. If more than one person manages supplies, name the person responsible for confirming receipt; this helps avoid duplicate orders and the assumption that someone else has replenished the shelf.

For a department that needs a formal consumption-and-lead-time calculation, use our EEG and sleep-lab supply checklist. The amount used for an individual session still follows the relevant equipment instructions, not an inventory target.

When a routine repeat order needs an extra check

Identify why the supply needs replacing. Running low, seeing a change in the paste, and observing a skin reaction require different responses.

SituationNext checkAvoid assuming
The usual paste is running low.Confirm the exact repeat item and whether usable stock covers the expected delivery.A larger pack is necessary just because it is available.
The paste looks different or performs differently after cold exposure.Set it aside and ask about the lot, storage history, and replacement.Stirring it back together proves that performance is restored.
Skin irritation has occurred.Stop using the affected setup, follow the product's removal instructions, and seek appropriate guidance.A new jar of the same product resolves intolerance.
The signal problem persists with the expected medium.Use the recording-system support process to review sensors and connections.More paste or a different brand must be the answer.

Weaver reports that cold exposure can change Ten20's appearance and performance, and remixing does not restore expected quality. Its FAQ also identifies the lot and expiration markings on individual containers. Keep that information available when asking about a questionable shipment.

The manufacturer instructions limit use to intact skin and direct immediate removal if an abnormal skin response occurs. Persistent soreness, redness, or swelling should be reported to the treating professional. Do not restart the same setup simply to test a replacement jar.

Check the replacement before putting it into service.

Match the delivered label to the order, count the containers, and check the packaging and printed expiration. Record the new lot alongside the receipt date. Buying a new jar does not reset the expiration printed on it.

Keep each container's identity with its contents rather than combining old and new stock into an unidentifiable jar. Follow your facility's handling procedure and the manufacturer's instructions to keep Ten20 tightly closed at room temperature and avoid prolonged cold or freezing.

Our Ten20 and NuPrep storage, cleanup, and shelf-life guide covers the detailed ownership questions. This reorder check is not a replacement for those instructions.

What to send us when the old order is unclear

Our product-support contact form accepts product names, item references, order numbers, and useful photos. Send a clear image of the container label rather than relying on the phrase “the paste that came with my machine.” Do not include patient information.

Example replenishment inquiry

Our existing neurofeedback setup uses the Weaver Ten20, reference 10-20-4. Please confirm a replacement order for two three-jar packages of the 4 oz size. We can provide a label photo and our delivery ZIP code. Please confirm availability, current pricing, expected delivery, and any remaining-shelf-life requirement. Do not substitute another product or container format without our approval.

When you do not know the reference, say so and include the device and sensor model. We can help identify the supply listing; system-specific approval and operating instructions remain with the equipment provider or responsible professional.

Neurofeedback paste reordering questions

Is there a separate Ten20 formula just for neurofeedback?

The examples linked above identify Weaver Ten20, and that is the product we supply. Do not infer a special formula from the name of the system seller. Match the manufacturer and reference on your original container.

Can I reorder the Ten20 that came with a NeurOptimal setup?

NeurOptimal's linked listing identifies Weaver Ten20 in 4 oz jar three-packs. Compare your own container and instructions with that description before selecting the matching option on our product page. This identifies the consumable; it does not claim that we certify your complete system.

Should I order a jar, a tube, or single-use cups?

For a routine repeat purchase, first match the approved format. Changing the dispensing format is a separate decision. Weaver provides distinct instructions and references for jars, tubes, and single-use cups; use those rather than assuming every format is handled identically.

How many neurofeedback sessions will one jar cover?

This guide does not assign a universal session count. Use your own consumption history for the same setup, including material discarded during preparation. A label weight alone does not tell you how many sessions your workflow can support.

Can I reorder for a home setup?

You can check our current jar options, but follow the instructions from the provider responsible for your home equipment. A supply purchase is not authorization to change the sensor placement, contact medium, or training procedure.

Reorder the identified supply, not a look-alike.

Confirm the existing product, keep the pack quantity explicit, and check that the replacement will arrive before it is needed. Then choose the matching Ten20 Conductive Paste jar pack.

We offer free standard U.S. shipping with no minimum order. That shipping offer does not establish an arrival date or reduce a three-jar pack to a single jar. Contact us with the exact item and required delivery date when timing is important.
