Description

TheraTouch® DX2 – Shortwave Diathermy System

The TheraTouch® DX2 is a shortwave diathermy system designed for controlled deep-tissue heating in clinical environments. It features adjustable output modes, incremental dosage settings, and automated tuning technology for consistent system performance.

Scientific Dosage Control (SDC)

The device includes Scientific Dosage Control (SDC), which adds two intermediate dosage settings within the traditional Dose III category:

  • Dose III SDC M

  • Dose III SDC H

These increments provide additional steps between commonly used wattage levels for more precise dosage selection.

Core Technology and Design

  • H.E.A.T. Auto-Tuning:
The High Efficiency Auto-Tuning system automatically adjusts for patient impedance and positioning variables to maintain optimized coupling and output conditions.

  • Flexible Mechanical Arm:
Features five articulation points and multiple friction joints for secure placement of the inductive drum over various body regions.

  • Pulsed Mode Capability:
Offers pulsed shortwave operation intended for lower-intensity applications.

Technical Specifications

  • Waveform Output:

    • Continuous Mode: 100 W average power

    • Pulsed Mode: 200 W peak power

  • Operating Frequency:
    27.12 MHz

  • User Preferences:
Stores up to 99 user-defined protocol settings.

  • Reference Tools:
Includes 9 quick links by indication category and an anatomical placement guide.

  • Warranty:
    3-year manufacturer warranty.

Adjustment Range

  • Pulse Width:
    20–400 μsec (20 μsec increments)

  • Pulse Frequency:
    10–800 Hz (10 Hz increments)

  • Treatment Duration:
    1–30 minutes (1-minute increments)
