The MAXTENS 1000 puts intensity, pulse rate, and pulse width on physical controls. This portable Bio Protech unit is an option for a prescribed TENS program when you prefer dials and switches to an LCD interface. It is a dedicated pain-management TENS device, not a combination TENS/EMS or interferential unit.

What comes in the standard MAXTENS 1000 kit?

The standard kit supplies the starter connections and battery. Check the offer’s stated kit count when comparing a single system with a clinic multipack; four included electrodes do not mean four devices.

Check the controls your treatment plan requires.

These are equipment capabilities, not suggested treatment settings. Burst mode does not use the pulse-rate dial in the same way as normal mode. Follow the supplied instructions and your clinician’s directions; a continuous timer setting does not authorize unlimited treatment.

A cover shields the output controls, and a sliding front panel covers the parameter controls. These features help reduce accidental adjustment after settings are selected. They are not childproof locks.

Do I need a prescription, and how do I submit it?

Yes. MAXTENS 1000 is prescription-use equipment. Contact our team with the model and your order number, when available, to request submission instructions. Is one kit the same as a five-unit box or master case?

No. One kit contains one stimulator system. A five-unit box contains five systems, while a master case is a larger packaging level. Confirm the number of complete kits stated with the selected offer. A per-kit comparison price is not necessarily the amount charged for a multipack.

Can MAXTENS 1000 use two or four electrodes?

Yes. Connect one complete electrode pair to each active channel: two pads for one channel or four for both. Intensity is adjusted separately, while the parameter controls are shared. Two outputs do not provide two independently selected therapy programs. Follow your clinician’s channel and placement instructions.

Does it need charging?

The documented power source is a replaceable 9V battery. There is no built-in USB charging system, and the standard kit does not include a charger or power adapter. Use the battery type permitted by the supplied instructions rather than assuming every rectangular rechargeable battery is suitable.

Are normal, burst, and modulation three different therapies?

What is the MAXTENS 1000 zero-start feature?

The manufacturer’s instructions describe a safeguard requiring the intensity controls to be reset to OFF after battery connection before operation can begin. It helps prevent starting with the controls already turned up; it does not make the device “shock-proof” or replace correct setup.

Which replacement electrodes and leads fit this model?

Match the exact device and the accessories specified in its instructions. The device-side plug, electrode connection, and prescribed pad size all matter. Ask us to check a replacement part using the full model and label details; do not assume that another analog TENS unit’s leads are compatible.

Before treatment

Read the complete supplied instructions and use the device under medical supervision. Do not use with a demand-type cardiac pacemaker; apply stimulation through the head or over the carotid sinus at the neck, or place electrodes on broken or irritated skin.
