BioMedical Life Systems GV350® Lead Wire Set KGVLW | 3 Replacement Leads
Keep your BioMedical Life Systems GV350® High Volt Pulsed Stimulator connected with the correct-specific replacement lead-wire set.
The KGVLW GV350 Lead Wire Set includes the three leads required by the GV350's distinctive high-voltage pulsed stimulation configuration: two red active lead wires and one black dispersive/return lead wire. Each lead is approximately 42 inches long and uses a touch-proof connection at the GV350 with a standard 2.00 mm pin connection at the electrode end.
Unlike ordinary replacement TENS lead wires that are commonly sold as a two-wire pair, KGVLW is a proprietary three-wire set made specifically for the GV350. BioMedical Life Systems identifies KGVLW as the correct complete lead-wire set for this device.
For the stimulator itself, see the BioMedical Life Systems GV350 High-Volt Pulsed Stimulator.

Why Does the GV350 Use Three Lead Wires?
The GV350 does not use the same electrode configuration as an ordinary two-channel TENS unit.
Its output system consists of
| GV350 connection | Lead color | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Active output 1 | Red | Active electrode circuit |
| Active output 2 | Red | Second active electrode circuit |
| Dispersive return | Black | Common dispersive/return circuit |
The GV350 provides two active outputs plus one larger dispersive return. The two active outputs can operate together in continuous mode or alternate in the device's alternating mode.
That is why a conventional two-lead TENS replacement set is not a direct substitute for KGVLW.
KGVLW vs. Standard Electrotherapy Lead Wires
| Feature | GV350 KGVLW | Standard TENS/NMES Lead Set |
|---|---|---|
| Number of leads | 3 | Commonly 2 |
| Lead colors | 2 red + 1 black | Varies |
| Device compatibility | BMLS GV350 | Device dependent |
| Device connector | Touch-proof GV350 configuration | Varies |
| Electrode connector | 2.00 mm pin | Often a 2 mm pin |
| Output configuration | 2 active + 1 dispersive return | Usually conventional channel pairs |
| Intended modality | High Voltage Pulsed Stimulation / HVPS | TENS, NMES, EMS, or other modality depending on the unit |
| Manufacturer SKU | KGVLW | Varies |
A matching 2 mm electrode pin does not by itself establish device compatibility. The device-side connector and electrical configuration also have to match.
For ordinary portable TENS/NMES units that use a conventional two-wire configuration, see Balego's 45-Inch TENS/NMES Replacement Lead Wires instead. Those are a different accessory and should not be presented as a substitute for the KGVLW GV350 set. Balego's standard wires use a conventional 2.35 mm device plug and 2 mm electrode pins.
KGVLW vs. Other Lead-Wire Types
BioMedical Life Systems uses several lead-wire families, and the part numbers should not be treated as interchangeable.
| BMLS part | Configuration | Intended use |
|---|---|---|
| KGVLW | 3 leads: 2 red + 1 black | GV350® only |
| L00013 | Proprietary black lead pair | Selected older/current BMLS stimulators |
| L00013TC | Two-color proprietary pair | BioStim INF / INF Plus |
| L00013MC | Four-color set | QuadStar II |
| L00025 | Industry-standard pair | BioMed Revived I/II, Impulse 4000T |
| L00012 | Short bifurcated splitter | Adds electrode connections to a compatible existing lead |
If you need to divide an existing compatible pin connection into two electrode connections rather than replace the GV350's main leads, see the BioMedical Life Systems L00012 Bifurcated Lead Wire.
Designed Specifically for the BMLS GV350
The GV350 is a dedicated high-voltage pulsed stimulation device rather than a conventional portable TENS unit. Its twin-peak monophasic waveform and two-active-plus-one-return electrode architecture require the correct lead-wire configuration.
The KGVLW set restores all three of the required primary device connections at once. This is useful when the original wires are lost, damaged, intermittent, or worn from repeated clinical use.
For GV350 specifications, setup information, waveform details, and current availability, visit our GV350 High Volt Pulsed Stimulator product page.
2 mm Pin Electrode Connection
Each KGVLW wire terminates in a standard 2.00 mm pin-style electrode connection.
This refers to the electrode end of the wire. It does not mean the entire KGVLW set is universal.
A lead-wire system has two compatibility points:
| Compatibility point | What must match |
|---|---|
| Device end | GV350 touch-proof output connection |
| Electrode end | Compatible 2 mm pin electrode socket |
Both should be confirmed before ordering.
Replacement Lead Wires and HVPS Treatment
The lead wires carry the electrical output from the GV350 to the treatment electrodes. Damaged, loose, or intermittent cables can interrupt the electrical circuit and may cause inconsistent output.
Before replacing electrodes or assuming the stimulator itself has malfunctioned, inspect the wires for:
- cuts or cracked insulation;
- damaged connector strain relief;
- bent electrode pins;
- loose device connections;
- intermittent output when the cable moves;
- contamination or visible damage at the connector.
Do not use visibly damaged electrical-stimulation lead wires.
Using the GV350 for Edema-Related Clinical Programs
The GV350 is sometimes selected specifically because it provides high-voltage pulsed current rather than conventional biphasic TENS or NMES. Balego has a separate evidence-based discussion of HVPC/HVPS and swelling management rather than duplicating clinical protocols on this accessory page.
Read GV350 High-Voltage Pulsed Current for Edema: How HVPS Fits Into Swelling Management for the distinction between HVPC and contraction-based NMES, polarity considerations, research limitations, and important safety qualifications.
What's Included?
One KGVLW complete GV350 lead-wire set:
- 2 × red active lead wires
- 1 × black dispersive/return lead wire
Electrodes and the GV350 stimulator are sold separately unless included as part of another kit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What lead wires does the BioMedical Life Systems GV350 use?
The GV350 uses the proprietary KGVLW three-wire set, consisting of two red active leads and one black dispersive/return lead.
How many wires are included with KGVLW?
Three wires are included: two red and one black. BMLS describes this as the complete GV350 lead-wire set.
How long are the GV350 lead wires?
BMLS identifies them as 42 inches, or approximately 1.05 meters, long.
What size electrode connector do they use?
The electrode side uses an industry-standard 2.00 mm pin connection.
Are these standard TENS lead wires?
No. Although the electrode side uses a common pin format, KGVLW is a proprietary three-lead set specifically designated by BMLS for the GV350.
Can I replace the set with ordinary two-wire TENS cables?
No. The GV350 uses two red active leads and one black dispersive return. A normal two-wire TENS set does not reproduce that configuration.
What are GV0015R and GV0015B?
They are the BMLS component identifiers for the individual GV350 leads. GV0015R identifies the red lead and GV0015B the black lead. KGVLW identifies the complete set.
Does KGVLW include electrodes?
No. KGVLW is the replacement lead-wire set.
