Kendall Medi-Trace 530 Series Foam ECG Electrodes

Adult snap electrodes for stress testing, Holter monitoring, and perspiration-prone applications.

Order the approved Kendall Medi-Trace 530 Series configuration by its complete manufacturer code. We offer case quantities with 3-, 5-, 30-, or 100-electrode pouches, so your department can match packaging to its established monitoring workflow.

Sold by the case, not by the individual pouch. The 530, 535, and 533 selections contain 600 electrodes per case; the 500 selection contains 1,000 electrodes per case. We provide free standard U.S. shipping with no minimum purchase. Select your order code for the current price and availability.

Match your order code and case quantity.

Medi-Trace 50022500-100101,000

These are package configurations within the 530 Series listing. A larger model number does not describe a larger case or establish stronger adhesion. Match the complete code to your approved requisition or previous package label.

Quantity 1 means one complete case of the selected option. For example, two cases of 31115788 supply 240 five-electrode pouches, or 1,200 electrodes. Two cases of 22500- supply 2,000 electrodes.

Select a pouch size that fits your department.

Smaller pouches let staff open fewer electrodes at a time. Larger pouches provide more stock in each opening. Choose around actual use and the supplied storage instructions, rather than assuming the largest case is the most economical.

The 3- and 5-electrode pouches provide smaller sealed quantities for approved monitoring setups or replacement supplies. The 30-electrode pouch offers a middle-sized replenishment quantity, while the 100-electrode pouch provides bulk stock for higher-use locations.

A pouch count is not a monitoring prescription: three electrodes do not automatically match every three-channel recorder, and five electrodes do not establish a universal patient setup. Our Holter replacement-electrode and supply-planning guide covers equipment matching and supply planning in detail.

What distinguishes the Medi-Trace 530 Series?

Cardinal Health positions this foam monitoring-electrode family for stress and Holter applications, including diaphoretic conditions—monitoring patients who are perspiring. Its aggressive adhesive and conductive adhesive hydrogel are designed to support skin contact in demanding monitoring environments.

Product detailPurchasing significance
Adult foam ECG/EKG monitoring electrodeSelect an approved adult cardiac-monitoring application.
Snap connectionMatch the electrode to the monitor's approved snap-ended patient leads.
Approximately 1¾-inch teardrop profileCheck that the footprint suits the intended placement sites.
Conductive adhesive hydrogelThe conductive interface is part of the electrode; a separate gel purchase is not a standard requirement.
Single-use formatDo not treat these as washable or reusable stimulation pads.

This purchase supplies electrodes, not a heart monitor or patient lead-wire set. These pads conduct cardiac signals to compatible equipment; they are not TENS/NMES pads, drug-delivery patches, or defibrillation electrodes.

For preparation, adhesion concerns, and evaluation during exercise, use our ECG electrode guide for sweaty skin, stress testing, and cardiac rehabilitation. Follow the current electrode instructions, monitoring-system requirements, and your facility's clinical protocol.

These choices are not automatically interchangeable. Have the responsible clinical or equipment team approve a change in electrode, connection, or monitoring application.

Comparing another brand? Our Medi-Trace 530 versus 3M Red Dot 2560 guide examines the exact products without assuming that similar snap connectors or case prices make them equivalent. For broader selection help, visit our ECG/EKG electrode selection guide.

Compare case pricing on the same basis.

Review the selected case price and any applicable quantity discount before ordering. Compare 600-electrode cases with 600-electrode cases, or calculate the individual-electrode cost when package totals differ.

Electrode supply cost = discounted product subtotal / total electrodes ordered.

Use 600 electrodes per case for 31013926-, 31115788, and 31115796, or 1,000 for 22500-. Applicable tax is additional. This is a consumable cost, not the cost of a patient visit or complete monitoring service.

Our ECG electrode cost guide explains how pouch size, unused stock, and delivered quantities affect purchasing comparisons.

Questions before you reorder

Are smaller pouches available without changing to another electrode family?

Yes. The 533 and 535 selections provide three- and five-electrode pouches within this listing. Each case still contains 600 electrodes. Choose the complete order code rather than entering a pouch count into the case-quantity field.

Does an out-of-pouch storage claim mean the electrode can stay on a patient for that long?

No. Storage of unused electrodes after opening and patient wear are separate requirements. Follow the supplied instructions for each, including the printed expiration and the clinical team's replacement schedule.

Will these fit every Holter monitor or snap cable?

Do not assume universal compatibility. Confirm the approved electrode, patient cable, and intended use with your equipment documentation. A physically matching snap alone is not an approval for every recorder.

Are these automatically suitable for MRI or sensitive skin?

No such assumption should be made. Have the clinical team check the exact product labeling for imaging requirements, skin-contact materials, and patient suitability. Strong adhesion is not evidence of an allergy-free or irritation-free product.

FAQs

What are Kendall Medi-Trace 530 electrodes used for?

They are adult snap-style ECG monitoring electrodes designed for challenging environments, including stress testing, Holter monitoring, cardiac rehabilitation, ICU care, procedural areas, and diaphoretic patients.

What is the difference between the 500, 530, 533, and 535?

They are packaging configurations within the same 530 Series family:

  • 500: 100 per pouch
  • 530: 30 per pouch
  • 533: 3 per pouch
  • 535: 5 per pouch

The case contains either 600 or 1,000 total electrodes depending on the selection.

How large is the electrode?

1¾-inch-diameter teardrop shape.

What connector does it use?

The electrode uses a snap connection for compatible ECG monitoring lead wires.

Is it intended for sweaty patients?

Yes. Diaphoretic patients are one of the manufacturer’s specifically identified applications. The aggressive adhesive and larger hydrogel surface are intended to help maintain contact in demanding monitoring environments.

Can it be used for stress testing?

Yes. Adult stress testing is a primary application of the 530 Series.

Can it be used for Holter monitoring?

Yes. Holter monitoring is one of the intended applications for this product family.

Is the 530 Series radiolucent?

No. It is non-radiolucent. The Kendall 930 Series is the manufacturer’s radiolucent counterpart.

Does it require additional conductive gel?

No separate gel is normally required. The electrode contains its own conductive adhesive hydrogel.

Can the pads be reused?

No. They are disposable monitoring electrodes intended for single-patient use.

Are they made with natural rubber latex?

Cardinal Health’s current ECG catalog states that its monitoring electrodes are not made with natural rubber latex, DEHP, or mercury.

Are they hypoallergenic?

Cardinal Health does not label the 530 Series as hypoallergenic. Use the documented material statement rather than making a broader allergy claim.

Are they appropriate for children?

Cardinal Health positions the 530 Series for adult applications. Select a pediatric or neonatal electrode when required by the patient’s size and monitoring protocol.

Are these diagnostic resting ECG tabs?

No. The 530 is a foam snap electrode for monitoring. For resting ECG equipment with clip-style leads, compare the Kendall 5400 and 5500 diagnostic tab electrodes.

Can they be used with TENS or NMES devices?

No. ECG monitoring electrodes detect cardiac signals. TENS and NMES pads deliver stimulation current and have different performance and connection requirements.

How often should monitoring electrodes be changed?

Follow the electrode labeling, facility protocol, skin condition, and monitoring requirements. A general electrode-care guide recommends daily electrode changes, but procedure-specific needs may differ.
