Measure the width of the hand across the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Keep the hand relaxed and the fingers together rather than spreading them apart.

1. Place the hand palm-down on a flat surface.
2. Relax the fingers and hold them together naturally.
3. Measure straight across the widest part of the knuckles.
