IMAK Ergo Glider Mouse Wrist Rest with Rolling Base
The IMAK® Ergo Glider A20215 is a movable wrist and elbow support designed for mouse work, computer use, digital drawing, and other desk activities where the hand needs to travel across the work surface.
Instead of staying fixed beside the mouse, the Glider uses multiple rolling trackballs beneath a flexible silicone base. The platform can move across the desk as your hand or forearm changes position, while the softer ergoBeads® cushion provides a conforming contact surface for the wrist or elbow.

What Makes the Glider Different From a Standard Wrist Rest?
Most desktop wrist rests stay in one place. That works well when the hand remains near a fixed keyboard position, but mouse use requires substantially more movement across the desk.
The IMAK Ergo Glider takes a different approach: the support itself rolls.
| Design feature | Practical difference |
|---|---|
| Track-ball base | Allows the support to travel across a smooth work surface |
| Flexible silicone platform | Moves as a compact support instead of functioning like a long, stationary wrist pad |
| ergoBeads cushion | Shifts and conforms beneath the wrist or elbow |
| Wrist or elbow placement | Gives the user more than one possible support point |
| Separate mouse support | Does not require the mouse to be built into a specialized pad or tray |
| Compact format | Appropriate for workstations where a full-width keyboard rest is unnecessary |
The defining reason to choose the Glider is therefore mobility, not simply cushioning.
Wrist Support That Travels With the Mouse Hand
A conventional wrist cushion can become less useful once the mouse hand moves beyond its edge. The Glider's rolling underside allows the cushion to change position along with the arm.
That makes it particularly well suited to activities with repeated pointer or pen movement, including the following:
- Computer mouse use
- Gaming
- CAD work
- Digital illustration
- Digital pen and tablet work
- Drafting
- Fine-art drawing
- Other desk tasks that involve repeated hand travel
The Glider can also be positioned beneath the elbow when that is the preferred contact point.
IMAK Ergo Glider vs. Other Ergonomic Supports
Different IMAK products solve different positioning and comfort problems. They should not be treated as interchangeable wrist supports.
| product | How it is used | Main distinction | Best general fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| IMAK Ergo Glider | Rests beneath the wrist or elbow and rolls across the desk | Mobile track-ball base | Mouse, drawing or pointer work where the support needs to move |
| IMAK RSI Computer Glove | Worn on either hand | The built-in ergoBeads palm/wrist cushion moves with the wearer | Users moving between keyboard, mouse, laptop and writing surfaces |
| IMAK Arthritis Wrist Sleeve | Worn around the wrist and thumb | Flexible mild compression rather than a rolling cushion | Users looking for wearable wrist/thumb coverage and warmth |
| IMAK Ergo Back Cushion | Positioned behind the lower back in a chair | Sculpted lumbar support | Users whose workstation concern is seated lower-back support rather than hand contact |
Choose the IMAK Ergo Glider when:
- Your primary task involves frequent mouse or pointer movement.
- You want the support surface to travel with the hand or forearm.
- You prefer a desktop accessory rather than something worn on the hand.
- You want the option of supporting either the wrist or elbow.
- A long stationary keyboard wrist rest would take up more desk space than necessary.
Consider the IMAK Computer Glove when
Choose the IMAK RSI Computer Glove instead when you want the cushion physically attached to the hand so it can travel between a mouse, keyboard, laptop, and other work surfaces.
The Computer Glove page also contains Balego's more detailed guidance on workstation positioning and keyboard/mouse ergonomics, so that information is not repeated here.
Optional Cooling
Brownmed identifies the IMAK Ergo Glider cushion as freezable for additional cooling.
This is an optional comfort feature rather than the primary function of the product. Follow the current Brownmed packaging and care instructions when cooling the cushion, and discontinue use if the temperature or pressure becomes uncomfortable.
Removable Cover for Easier Care
The cushion has a removable cover, which makes routine care more practical than a permanently enclosed desktop pad.
Follow the care information provided with the product rather than assuming the cushion base and removable textile cover should be cleaned in the same manner.
Build a More Comfortable Workstation
For users addressing more than one contact point, pair the Glider with the appropriate support rather than expecting one accessory to correct an entire workstation.
The IMAK Ergo Back Cushion provides a separate option for seated lumbar support, while the IMAK RSI Computer Glove offers a wearable alternative for hand and wrist cushioning.
Choose the product according to where support is needed and whether that support should remain stationary, roll across the desk, or move with the user.

FAQs
Does the IMAK Ergo Glider move with the mouse?
Yes. The underside incorporates multiple trackballs so the support can roll across the work surface as the wrist, hand, or forearm changes position.
Is the glider attached to the mouse?
No. The Glider is a separate support platform. The mouse or other accessory remains independently positioned while the cushion supports the wrist or elbow.
Can I use it under my elbow instead of my wrist?
Yes. The Glider is suitable for supporting either the wrist or the elbow.
Does it contain ergoBeads?
Yes. The cushion contains IMAK ergoBeads®, a smooth bead filling that shifts within the cushion to create a conforming support surface.
Can the IMAK Ergo Glider be cooled?
Yes. Brownmed's current product sell sheet identifies it as freezable for additional cooling. Follow the supplied product directions for use and care.
Is this the same product as the IMAK Computer Glove?
No. The glider rests on and rolls across the desk. The IMAK RSI Computer Glove is worn on the hand and includes a built-in ergoBeads cushion.
Is the Glider a wrist brace?
No. It is an ergonomic desktop support. If you need wearable support, compare the IMAK Arthritis Wrist Sleeve or another wrist-support product selected for your particular need.
