IMAK® Copper Knee Sleeve | Copper-Infused Mild Compression

The IMAK® Copper Knee Sleeve by Brownmed is a soft pull-on knee support made with copper-infused nylon and mild compression. It is designed to fit either the right or left knee and is available in two sizes based on leg circumference.

Unlike a hinged knee brace or adjustable wrap, this sleeve has no rigid framework or straps. Its role is straightforward: flexible knee coverage, mild compression, and a low-profile fabric construction for everyday wear.

Three features distinguish it from Balego's other IMAK knee support.

1. Copper-infused nylon construction

Copper-infused nylon makes up 60% of the published material content. The remainder is polyester, rubber threads, and spandex.

The copper-infused fabric is addressing odor-causing bacteria.

That is separate from claiming that copper itself treats arthritis or heals an injured knee.

2. Two simple size ranges

Instead of a five-size XS–XL system, the Copper Knee Sleeve uses just the following:

• M/L: 17–19 inches
• L/XL: 19–21 inches

This makes sizing simple, but it also means the product covers a narrower range of leg circumferences than our IMAK Arthritis Knee Sleeve.

3. Reversible right-or-left fit

The copper knee sleeve is reversible for use on either knee.

There is no need to purchase separate right- and left-knee versions.

These two products are easy to confuse, but they are meaningfully different.

The IMAK Arthritis Knee Sleeve already provides detailed information on its vented back, closed-patella design, tri-band retention, and five-size fitting system, so those subjects do not need to be repeated here.

It is more accurately described as a soft compression knee sleeve.

It does not provide the rigid hinges, side stays, adjustable straps, or immobilizing structure associated with more substantial orthopedic knee braces.

Choose this type of sleeve when mild fabric compression and flexible movement are the goal. If a clinician has specified a hinged brace, immobilizer, patellar-stabilizing device, or another particular orthosis, do not substitute a soft sleeve solely because it is more comfortable or easier to put on.

The strongest product description is also the simplest:

Copper is incorporated into the fabric.

Current product materials support describing the product as a copper-infused compression sleeve and state that the fabric addresses odor-causing bacteria.

The knee sleeve is providing mild compression, but it does not provide a graduated pressure rating in mmHg.

This product is a flexible knee support sleeve rather than graduated medical compression hosiery.

Because this product has only two size ranges, measuring before ordering is especially important.

1. Locate the center of the kneecap.
2. Measure 4 inches up the thigh.
3. Wrap a flexible tape around the leg at that point.
4. Keep the tape level without pulling it deeply into the skin.
5. Compare the measurement with the chart.

Choose M/L for 17–19 inches or L/XL for 19–21 inches.

For substantially smaller or larger measurements, the IMAK Arthritis Knee Sleeve provides a broader XS–XL size range.

Brownmed specifies:

Hand wash cold and air dry.

Follow the product label supplied with the sleeve and inspect the fabric periodically for stretching or damage that changes the fit.
