EMPI Select Quick Start Guide: Setup & Troubleshooting

Instructions for unlocking the EMPI Select a TENS unit includes checking battery installation and settings. The unit starts at zero for safety reasons. A flashing pad icon may indicate improper contact or a malfunction. The EMPI Select uses two batteries. It is possible to use only one channel, though dual-channel operation is recommended for optimal results. Electrodes should be spaced appropriately to avoid skin irritation. The unit may lower intensity automatically to prevent discomfort. Replacement electrodes are available, but compatibility should be confirmed. SES, HrS, and ASL are function abbreviations relevant to the unit's settings. The EMPI Select operates as a TENS unit, not NMES.
