Richmar Quattro 2.5 DQ8450 Clinical Electrotherapy System
Four output channels. Two programmable treatment groups. Both premodulated and four-pole IFC.
The Richmar Quattro 2.5 brings TENS, EMS, Russian stimulation, and two interferential formats into an AC-powered tabletop system. Choose DQ8450 when your clinic needs separate programs for two channel groups, rather than four intensity controls operating under one shared program.
One complete system per order quantity. Prescription required. We provide free standard U.S. shipping with no minimum purchase. Review the current price and availability beside the buying controls. Applicable tax is additional.
What comes with the Quattro 2.5?
| Included component | Standard package contents |
|---|---|
| Quattro 2.5 DQ8450 console | One four-channel electrotherapy device |
| Self-adhesive electrodes | 16 pads: eight 2-inch squares and eight 2 x 3.5-inch rectangles |
| Reusable rubber electrodes and sponges | Eight rubber electrodes and eight sponges, supplied in two sizes |
| Elastic securing straps | Four straps in two lengths |
| Patient connections | Four lead wires and Quattro-specific cable-connector assemblies |
| Power and documentation | AC power supply and instruction manual |
This is a system purchase, not a console-only replacement. A therapy cart, ultrasound applicator, and battery are not part of the standard package. Use the supplied instructions to match each electrode type to its approved contact medium and setup.
Arrange the prescription or professional order.
Contact our team and identify Richmar Quattro 2.5, model DQ8450. Include your order number if you have already purchased or your organization when buying for a clinic. Ask for the required ordering and document-submission steps before sending medical documents.
Use the document-delivery method we confirm; do not paste a prescription or medical history into the general contact form. Our prescription-submission policy explains how to confirm receipt, remaining requirements, and shipping status.
Four channels do not mean four unrelated programs.
The Quattro 2.5 divides its outputs into two groups:
| Treatment group | Shared within that group | Adjusted separately |
|---|---|---|
| Channels 1 and 2 | Waveform, program, parameters, and timer | Intensity for each channel |
| Channels 3 and 4 | Waveform, program, parameters, and timer | Intensity for each channel |
One group can run a different program from the other. This supports two treatment areas or two patients when clinically appropriate and continuously supervised. It does not provide four independently selected treatment programs, and patients must not be left unattended.
Compare the complete channel arrangement with your intended program before ordering. Four outputs alone do not establish that a prescribed bilateral or alternating treatment can be reproduced.
Five waveform families, including two distinct IFC formats
| Waveform family | Purchase-relevant distinction |
|---|---|
| TENS | A dedicated TENS selection within the system |
| EMS/NMES | Synchronous and asynchronous channel options for clinician-selected muscle-stimulation programs |
| Russian stimulation | Separate synchronous and asynchronous options |
| IF-2P / Premodulated | Two-electrode output through one channel for an approved setup |
| IF-4P / Interferential | Four-electrode arrangement using a two-channel group; includes vector controls |
The system offers 50 presets, customizable settings, and professional two-step programming. Its seven menu selections arise because EMS and Russian each have synchronous and asynchronous versions; they do not represent seven unrelated therapy categories.
The clinician can also select constant-current or constant-voltage operation. Those settings regulate output differently; a number in milliamps is not interchangeable with the same number in volts.
For frequency terminology, read our IFC carrier, beat-frequency, and sweep guide. For programming, diagrams, and precautions, use our Quattro 2.5 manual and setup guide alongside the instructions supplied with your device.
Compare the equipment format, not just channel count.
| Device | Channel and programming arrangement | Main reason to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Quattro 2.5 DQ8450 | Four outputs in two programmable groups; AC-powered tabletop system | Clinical electrotherapy with both IF-2P and IF-4P, without ultrasound |
| Twin Stim Plus DS5402 | Four handheld outputs with individual intensity and paired timers; shared modality/program controls | A smaller AA-battery or AC-powered format; not equivalent to Quattro's two independent program groups |
| ComboCare DQ7844 | Two electrotherapy channels plus therapeutic ultrasound | A clinic that needs ultrasound as well as electrical stimulation |
A lower-priced or more portable unit is useful only when its available controls match the approved treatment plan. Browse our interferential therapy systems for other formats without assuming that every IFC-labeled device has the same electrode configuration.
Quattro 2.5 purchasing FAQs
Is DQ8450 the Quattro 2.5 previously described as Roscoe Medical or Current Solutions?
DQ8450 is the model identifier for this Richmar Quattro 2.5 listing. Roscoe Medical appears in its device-registration record and older instructions. Match the model and supplied manual revision when replacing existing equipment rather than relying on a brand name or similar case alone.
Does it include ultrasound or microcurrent?
No. The Quattro 2.5 provides the five electrotherapy families listed above. It has no therapeutic ultrasound treatment head and no microcurrent mode. A low-intensity setting does not convert another waveform into microcurrent.
Does "portable" mean it runs on batteries?
No. It can be moved between suitable treatment locations, but it requires its specified AC power supply. It has no internal battery. Plan for an appropriate outlet and cable management wherever treatment will take place.
Are the presets ready-made prescriptions?
No. A preset is a stored equipment configuration, not a diagnosis or an individualized treatment order. Have the clinician verify the selected waveform, timing, parameters, and electrode arrangement. Our guide to matching prescribed NMES settings explains the compatibility checks without supplying a treatment protocol.
Which replacement leads and connectors fit the Quattro 2.5?
Richmar lists WQ6005PLUG-2, a two-pack of 78-inch lead wires, and DQ8450CPLUG, a two-pack of cable connectors. Older instructions use a different connector reference. Send us the device label and existing cable information before ordering a replacement; do not assume that a generic handheld TENS lead fits this system.
Our electrode-connector guide helps identify connection types. Connector appearance alone does not establish device compatibility.
Can I use small pads or add gel to the adhesive electrodes?
Follow the exact approved electrode specification. The reviewed Quattro instructions prohibit self-adhesive electrodes smaller than 25 cm² and recommend at least 2-inch-square self-adhering pads. Do not treat a nominal pad size as proof of its active contact area.
Extra gel is not a routine requirement for the supplied self-adhesive pads. Rubber electrodes use the specified sponge or approved conductive-medium arrangement instead. Compare our electrotherapy electrodes against the device instructions before replacing supplies.
What warranty comes with the unit?
Richmar lists a two-year device warranty, subject to its terms. Accessories and consumables do not automatically carry the same coverage. Ask us about the applicable service process and return conditions before ordering; a warranty is not the same as return eligibility.
Professional supervision remains essential.
Use only under the continuing supervision of the appropriate licensed professional, with the current device instructions available. Do not use with contraindicated implanted devices, or apply stimulation across the head or chest or over the neck. Stop treatment for burning, sharp pain, or an adverse skin response. This summary does not replace the complete contraindications and warnings.
Ready to order? Confirm DQ8450, the required channel-group arrangement, and the number of complete systems, then follow our ordering instructions.

FAQs
What is the Richmar Quattro 2.5?
It is a professional four-channel electrotherapy system offering TENS, EMS, Russian, two-pole premodulated interferential, and four-pole traditional interferential stimulation.
Is the Quattro 2.5 a prescription device?
Yes. Its sale to or on the order of a physician or licensed practitioner.
Does it have four independent channels?
It has four separately adjustable output intensities. Programming is organized into two independent groups: Channels 1–2 and Channels 3–4.
Can it run two different treatments at once?
Yes. The two channel groups can use different waveforms, programs, timers, and intensities. This can support two treatment areas or two patients when appropriately supervised.
How many presets are included?
The device provides 10 presets for each of five waveform families, for a total of 50 presets, plus professional and user-defined programming.
Does it have true four-pole interferential stimulation?
Yes. IF-4P uses four electrodes and a 4 kHz carrier. The device also includes IF-2P premodulated stimulation.
Does it include Russian stimulation?
Yes. It provides synchronous and asynchronous Russian modes using a 2.5 kHz carrier and an adjustable burst frequency from 2 to 100 Hz.
Does it provide NMES?
The device labels its muscle-stimulation waveform as EMS. Its motor-level indications and programmable contraction, relaxation, and ramp functions align with professional neuromuscular electrical-stimulation workflows.
Is it battery-powered?
No. It operates from the included 100–240 VAC power adapter. “Portable” refers to its ability to be carried or moved on a therapy cart, not cordless operation.
Does it include ultrasound?
No. Clinics needing electrical stimulation plus therapeutic ultrasound should compare the Richmar ComboCare.
What electrodes should be used?
Use compatible electrodes that satisfy the device manual’s size, connector, and current-density requirements. The manual recommends self-adhesive electrodes with at least 25 cm² of active area.
Can 1.25-inch or 1.5-inch pads be used?
They fall below the manual’s 25 cm² minimum active-area warning and should not be represented as standard replacement pads for this device. Use approximately 2-inch square or larger electrodes unless Richmar or an appropriately qualified clinician directs otherwise.
Can the included rubber electrodes be used without sponges?
The manual allows either properly moistened sponges or an approved conductive transmission gel. The electrodes must be secured using the appropriate straps.
Can pre-gelled adhesive pads be used with additional gel?
Normally no. Additional gel may interfere with their adhesion. Separate conductive media are primarily used with compatible non-gelled rubber or carbon electrodes.
What is professional mode?
Professional mode allows two programmed treatment steps within one session so selected parameters can change from the first step to the second. (Balego)
What is the maximum treatment time?
The timer can be set from 1 to 60 minutes.
What is the warranty?
A two-year warranty, subject to the warranty terms and exclusions.
