Cork-blend support for everyday shoes and boots
SoleAid IV cork orthotic insoles combine a cork-EVA base with neoprene cushioning and a medium-flex arch-support shell. The full-length design includes a molded heel cradle and a tapered forefoot, bringing structured support and cushioning together in a ready-to-wear insert.
Choose IV when you want the SoleAid cork-blend construction with a neutral-height, semi-rigid arch. Compare the materials and shell options below to find the model that suits your footwear and preferred support.
What is inside SoleAid IV?
SoleAid IV materials and their functions
| Component | Function |
|---|---|
| Polyester fabric cover | A contact surface designed to reduce friction. |
| Neoprene cushioning | A resilient cushion above the supporting structure. |
| Medium-flex polypropylene shell | Provides the arch-support structure and incorporates a heel cradle. |
| Cork-EVA blend base | Combines cork with foam in the base beneath the shell. |
The complete insole uses several materials. Its cork-blend base is one part of the construction, alongside the cushioning, fabric, and supporting shell.
Compare SoleAid IV, II, III, and I+.
The model number alone does not tell you how firm the shell will feel. IV and II use medium-flex shells; III uses a stiffer shell. I+ adds a built-in metatarsal pad.
Construction differences within our SoleAid range
| Model | Shell and base | Main reason to consider it |
|---|---|---|
| SoleAid IV | Medium-flex shell; cork-EVA base | You want the cork-blend option with structured arch support. |
| SoleAid II | Medium-flex shell; EVA base | You prefer an EVA-based model in the medium-flex category. |
| SoleAid III | Stiff-flex shell; EVA base | Your selection calls for a stiffer arch-support shell. |
| SoleAid I+ metatarsal insoles | Flex shell; EVA base; built-in metatarsal pad | You specifically want integrated metatarsal support. |
These are construction comparisons, not a ranking of comfort or treatment effectiveness. Explore our orthotic insoles and shoe inserts for additional options.

Will SoleAid IV fit my shoes or work boots?
SoleAid IV is intended for closed-toe footwear, including sneakers, casual shoes, and boots. The shoe needs enough space for both your foot and the insert. A removable original footbed can make fitting easier; follow your footwear's replacement instructions.
Check heel security and toe room with your usual socks. The manufacturer allows light trimming when needed; follow the supplied directions and preserve the supporting shell. Begin with short periods of wear, increasing gradually as comfortable. Stop and reassess the fit if pain or rubbing develops.
SoleAid IV questions
Are these insoles made from 100% cork?
No. The base is a cork-EVA blend. The other layers include neoprene, polypropylene, and polyester, so the complete product is a composite orthotic insole.
What does neutral-height, medium-flex arch support mean?
Neutral-height describes the arch profile; medium-flex describes the supporting shell. They refer to different features. Choose according to how the contour fits your foot and the support recommended for you, rather than treating those terms as interchangeable.
Can I heat-mold SoleAid IV?
SoleAid IV is supplied ready to wear. Cork content alone does not establish that an insole can be oven-molded. Use only the fitting methods authorized in the instructions supplied for this model.
Is SoleAid IV the same product as SOLE cork footbeds?
No. SoleAid and SOLE are different brands. Match the complete brand and model name when replacing an existing insert; sizing and fitting directions can differ.
