Arch support and cushioning for your work footwear

SoleAid Work III orthotic insoles bring full-length cushioning and medium-flex arch support to work boots and occupational shoes. Their EVA and MP Blue cushioning layers work with a semi-rigid support shell, making this model an option for people whose workday includes extended standing and walking.

Start with the footwear you actually wear on the job. Work III is designed for work and athletic shoes with enough room to accommodate its contoured footbed. Choose the stated U.S. size range, then check the fit in your own shoes before a full shift.

Inside the Work III cushioning system

Materials used in SoleAid Work III

PartRole in the insole
EVA foam top layerA cushioned contact surface.
MP Blue cushionThe shock-absorbing layer in the Work III construction.
Medium-flex support shellProvides semi-rigid support beneath the arch.
EVA baseThe shaped foundation beneath the cushioning and shell.

The combination gives Work III both cushioning and a defined arch contour. Its neutral arch profile and medium-flex shell are separate characteristics: the profile describes the shape, while the flex category describes the supporting structure.

Work III or standard SoleAid III?

The word "work" identifies a different model. Standard SoleAid III has a stiffer shell and different cushioning materials. Use the full product name when comparing or replacing an existing order.

Choose by construction and intended preference

ProductConstruction to compareConsider it when you want.
SoleAid Work IIIEVA and MP Blue cushioning; medium-flex shell; EVA baseA work-focused combination of shock-absorbing cushioning and arch support.
SoleAid III orthotic insolesFabric and neoprene above a stiff-flex shell; EVA baseThe standard III model's firmer shell structure.
SoleAid IV cork orthotic insolesNeoprene cushioning; medium-flex shell; cork-EVA baseA cork-blend base with medium-flex support.

A firmer shell is not automatically the right choice for every foot. Compare the contour, cushioning, and shoe fit together. Our orthotic insole collection includes additional constructions.

Fit your work shoes before the first full shift.

  1. Make room for the footbed. If your shoes allow replacement of the original liner, follow the shoe manufacturer's directions. Stacking full-length inserts can make the shoe too tight.
  2. Wear your usual work socks. With the insert in place, check that your heel stays seated, the arch contour feels appropriately positioned, and your toes have space.
  3. Check the outline. The manufacturer permits light trimming when needed. Follow the supplied instructions; avoid cutting into the support structure.
  4. Build up wearing time. Start with a short trial and increase as comfortable as possible. Persistent pressure, rubbing, or pain calls for a fit review.

Questions about Work III insoles

Are these an option for standing on concrete floors?

Work III is designed for work that involves standing and walking on hard surfaces. Its cushioning and arch support make it a model to consider for that use. Comfort still depends on your feet, footwear, and fit; an insole cannot guarantee pain-free standing for an entire shift.

Can I use them in steel-toe work boots?

Check your boot manufacturer's guidance on replacement footbeds first. If replacement is permitted, assess the available room with Work III installed, including clearance beneath the toe cap. The printed boot size alone does not establish a suitable fit.

Do these sizes guarantee a fit in wide work boots?

The size chart lists length ranges, not 2E or 4E width specifications. Compare the insole's shape with the interior of your boot and check that it sits properly without crowding your foot.

Does Work III include a built-in metatarsal pad?

Work III's MP Blue component is a cushioning layer. For a SoleAid model specified with an integrated metatarsal pad, see our SoleAid I+ metatarsal insoles.

For ongoing foot pain, reduced sensation, diabetes, or circulation problems, ask your foot-care clinician which support is appropriate before changing your footwear setup.
