A firm supporting shell, with cushioning above and below it.
SoleAid III combines full-length coverage with a stiff-flex polypropylene arch-support shell and a pre-molded heel cradle. Choose this model when your footwear plan calls for defined arch structure rather than a soft cushioning insert alone. The fabric and foam components provide a different feel from an uncovered rigid shell.
Match SoleAid III by its complete name and U.S. size range. It is not SoleAid Work III or Thera 3. Review the selected size, supplied quantity, current price, and availability beside the purchasing controls. We provide free standard U.S. shipping with no minimum purchase. Applicable tax is additional.
SoleAid III U.S. size chart
Use the manufacturer's specific ranges below, not the letter-size chart for another SoleAid model. The selector identifies which sizes are currently available from us.
| U.S. women's shoe size | U.S. men's shoe size |
|---|---|
| 6-6.5 | Not listed |
| 7-7.5 | Not listed |
| 8-8.5 | 6-6.5 |
| 9-9.5 | 7-7.5 |
| 10-10.5 | 8-8.5 |
| 11-11.5 | 9-9.5 |
| 12-12.5 | 10-10.5 |
| Not listed | 11-11.5 |
| Not listed | 12-12.5 |
| Not listed | 13-13.5 |
| Not listed | 14-15 |
| Not listed | 16+ |
Not listed means no corresponding range is supplied in this chart. The current manufacturer selector does not assign men's 15.5. Contact our team when your size falls outside the stated ranges or an older label is unclear. Do not invent a conversion from another brand.
Shoe size is a starting point. Check the insole's position and the remaining space inside the actual footwear before modifying or committing it to regular use.
What gives SoleAid III its structured support?
| Component | Purchasing significance |
|---|---|
| ETC fabric cover | A fabric contact surface designed to reduce friction |
| Neoprene foam cushioning | Cushioning above the supporting shell |
| Stiff-flex shell | The arch-support structure that distinguishes III from softer SoleAid shell options |
| EVA foam base | A foam layer beneath the shell |
The cushioned surfaces do not make this an all-foam insert. Equally, the word rigid does not mean that every part of the full-length insole is a rigid plate. Match the complete product construction, not an isolated material description.
Check the insert in your intended footwear.
Assess SoleAid III in the shoes or boots you plan to wear, with your usual socks. Check that the heel sits securely, the arch contour is appropriately positioned, and the toes still have room. Do not assume that a shoe fitting comfortably without an insert has room for an additional one.
Where the footwear is designed for insole replacement, follow its instructions and your fitter's advice rather than automatically stacking two full-length footbeds. Do not force the insert into a narrow shoe or treat persistent pressure as proof that the support is working.
Compare SoleAid III with our other SoleAid options.
| Product | Main construction or function | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| SoleAid III | Full-length insole with a stiff-flex arch-support shell | A structured-support option, not simply a thicker cushion |
| SoleAid Thera 3 diabetic insoles | Three-layer accommodative cushioning | A different model and sizing system, not another name for III |
| SoleAid Scaphoid Arch Support Pads | Localized, adhesive-backed arch padding | A smaller support component, not a full-length footbed |
These are alternative equipment choices, not a recommendation to combine them. Browse our orthotic insoles, shoe inserts, heel lifts, and wedges when the required support has a different function. Keep any prescribed arrangement consistent unless your clinician or fitter approves a change.
SoleAid III purchasing FAQs
Is SoleAid III the same as SoleAid Work III?
No. Standard SoleAid III uses a stiff-flex shell with ETC fabric and neoprene cushioning. Work III is a separately specified model with a medium-flex shell and a different cushioning construction. Match the complete name when reordering; the Roman numeral alone does not identify the product.
Are these custom-made orthotics?
No. These are prefabricated insoles offered in standard size ranges. Choosing a retail size is not the same service as having a device individually prescribed and fabricated following a foot assessment. Do not interpret the word "orthotic" in a product name as a promise of custom manufacture.
Is a rigid arch support automatically better for flat feet or overpronation?
No single construction is appropriate for every foot or shoe. Choose the support recommended for your fit and activity, not simply the firmest product available. Persistent pain or a new change in foot function warrants assessment rather than a product-only diagnosis.
Can I trim or heat-mold SoleAid III?
Follow the instructions supplied for SoleAid III. Do not apply Thera 3's molding instructions or Work III's trimming description to this different product. Confirm any permitted modification before cutting or heating; do not assume the stiff shell can be reshaped at home.
Does the fabric cover guarantee that I will not get blisters?
No. The cover's friction-reducing design does not eliminate the need for a suitable shoe fit and careful introduction. New rubbing, pressure marks, or persistent discomfort should prompt a fit check, not an attempt to wear them through.
How do I replace an existing SoleAid III order?
Match the brand, full model name, women's/men's size range, and package reference. Confirm the number of pairs or individual insoles in the selected offer before comparing prices. Send our team the previous label when a size or product identity is uncertain.
Before regular wear
Have a foot-care professional help select the support when diabetes, poor circulation, reduced sensation, or a current foot problem affects fit. Introduce it as directed, monitor the fit, and do not continue through pain or skin changes. This product does not replace an assessment or guarantee correction of a foot condition.
