Two-layer EVA cushioning in a full-length, contoured insole.
SoleAid Thera 2K diabetic insoles combine a soft upper surface with a firmer foam base. The accommodative design cushions beneath the foot, with a cupped heel and a tapered forefoot. Choose this model when your footwear plan calls for the two-layer Thera construction rather than the additional middle layer in Thera 3.
Two layers describe the construction, not the number of pairs in an order. Match the selected size and package quantity before checkout. We provide free standard U.S. shipping with no minimum purchase. The selected offer shows the current price and availability; applicable tax is additional.
What is inside Thera 2K?
| Layer | Manufacturer material | Selection detail |
|---|---|---|
| Upper | MP Foam 35 EVA | Soft contact layer |
| Base | MP Foam 55 EVA | Firmer supporting foam |
This is a foam-based insert, not the stiff-shell SoleAid III. The material names identify the manufacturer's formulation; they are not a finished-insole thickness measurement. Do not assume that fewer layers alone tell you how much room the insert will occupy inside your shoe.
SoleAid Thera 2K size chart
Use the manufacturer ranges below to identify the appropriate size. Our selector shows the options currently available to order.

|---|---|---|
| XS / X-Small | 5-6 | Not listed |
| S / Small | 7-8 | 5-6 |
| M / Medium | 9-10 | 7-8 |
| L / Large | 11-12 | 9-10 |

| XXL / XX-Large | Not listed | 13-14 |
| XXXL / XXX-Large | Not listed | 15+ |
Use the stated U.S. ranges; SoleAid does not list a men's or women's equivalent for every size. For a half size between the published ranges or an uncertain previous order, contact our team with the size label and footwear details. Confirm the fit before making an irreversible trim.
Choose the model before changing the footwear setup.
| Product | Main construction difference | Ordering distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Thera 2K | Two EVA foam layers | The two-layer accommodative model on this page |
| Thera 3 diabetic insoles. | Three layers, including an MP Blue cushioning core | A separate construction, not another size of 2K |
| SoleAid III orthotic insoles | A stiff-flex arch-support shell with cushioning | A structured-shell option, not a Thera model |
Choose the construction specified for your footwear plan, rather than deciding by layer count alone. Our orthotic insoles and shoe insert collection provides a wider selection. Comparing these products is not a recommendation to stack them together.
Check the complete shoe-and-insole fit.
Assess the insert in the footwear and socks you will actually use. The heel should sit securely, the insert should lie without buckling, and the shoe must leave room for the foot and toes. Where a removable footbed is intended to be replaced, follow the footwear instructions and your fitter's advice rather than automatically adding a second full-length layer.
For diabetes, reduced sensation, or a history of foot wounds, have a qualified foot-care professional assess the arrangement. Lack of discomfort does not prove that rubbing or pressure is acceptable when sensation is reduced.
Thera 2K purchasing FAQs
Does Thera 2K need heat molding before use?
The manufacturer describes it as ready-to-wear and moldable through wear or controlled heat. Do not assume a home heating step is required. Obtain the instructions for the finished Thera 2K products and any professional fitting directions; temperatures used to fabricate foam sheets are not a home fitting recipe.
Can Thera 2K be trimmed to fit?
Yes. The manufacturer identifies trim-to-fit capability. Confirm the size and contour position before cutting; trimming an edge does not relocate the arch or heel cup. Follow the supplied directions rather than making an oversized insert fit by removing substantial material.
Is Thera 2K the same as a Plastazote-topped Thera insert?
No. The documented 2K construction uses MP foam EVA layers. Thera PZ and PZ Plus are separately specified products. Do not use another. Thera model's material description to identify a replacement.
Can I transfer the insoles to another pair of shoes?
The manufacturer allows shoe-to-shoe use, but the fit must be checked in each shoe. Different footwear can change the available depth and how the heel and arch sit. A good fit in one shoe does not establish suitability in another.
Does an A5512 reference guarantee insurance payment?
No. Product coding and reimbursement are separate questions. Medicare coverage depends on eligibility, required documentation, and qualified ordering and supplying arrangements. Confirm the intended coverage route before purchasing rather than assuming a retail order will be reimbursed.
What should I match when replacing an existing supply?
Record SoleAid, Thera 2K, the size range, the package reference, and the quantity supplied. Keep 2K distinct from Thera 3, PZ, and SoleAid III. Send us the previous label when a product name or size is unclear.
Before regular wear
Follow your clinician's fitting and introduction advice and inspect your feet daily. Stop and seek advice about new rubbing, redness, warmth, swelling, or a wound. Do not treat a retail insole as a cure for neuropathy or as the sole treatment for an active foot ulcer.
Match the two-layer. Thera 2K model, choose the stated size range and confirm the complete selected offer.
